Editorial Standards

Speed of Daily publishes model guides for classic American big rigs, pickups and muscle cars. This page explains how those guides are made, so you can judge how much to trust them.

Who is responsible

Every guide is edited and published by Gökhan Yiğit, founder & editor of Speed of Daily. The site is independent: no manufacturer, dealer or parts company pays for coverage or reviews articles before they go live.

How a guide is researched

Guides start from questions readers actually ask in our Facebook communities and in search: which years had which engine, how to tell two models apart, what a part number or option code means. We build each guide from published sources — manufacturer and museum histories, period road tests and brochures, established automotive publications, and owner club and registry material.

Writing tools, including AI assistants, help us draft and organize material. No guide is published straight from a tool: every claim is read by an editor and checked against the sources.

How we fact-check

  • Production years, engine codes, displacement, horsepower and torque figures are checked against at least one published source, and against two when the number is disputed.
  • Production totals and "firsts" are the claims most often repeated wrong online. When sources disagree we say so in the text; when a figure can't be confirmed, we leave it out.
  • The sources a guide relies on are listed at the end of the article.

Images

The images on our guides are AI-generated renders made to show the general look of a model and its era. They are labeled under every image. They are not photos of real, specific vehicles, and details such as badges, trim or grilles may not match a factory example exactly; the text, not the render, is the reference.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it. Send the correction and, if you can, a source through the Contact page. Factual corrections are made to the article itself, and the article's updated date changes when the content changes.

Advertising and affiliate links

The site is supported by display advertising and by affiliate links. Some guides end with a short list of related gear on Amazon; as an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Affiliate products never decide what we write about or what a guide says. See the Affiliate Disclosure for details.
